LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A possible crime scene hidden under a vacant lot is currently being investigated in Elizabethtown.
Elizabethtown Police say they received information that a body may be buried in an area of East Railroad Ave.
Officers say they take all claims seriously and are actively looking into the situation.
"Cadaver dogs came on the lot Monday or Tuesday," said Virgil Willoughby of Elizabethtown Police. "With weather being what it is, the snow melted and we had to bring the dogs back out and see what the dogs may do."
Police will not say if the dogs found anything on the site. People from out of state are also coming in with ground-penetrating radar to search the lot.
Officials say the lot is currently owned by Habitat for Humanity.
