Red, ripened jalapeno peppers are smoked over wood chips then crushed into whole grain corn masa to create the distinct Chipotle flavor of The Better Chip® Chipotle chip. Each bite delivers rich, smoky notes and a warm, lingering heat.  The Better Chip® Chipotle can easily be eaten straight from the bag, and pairs naturally with favorites like layered bean dip, cheese and salami or black bean salsa.

To make The Better Chip® Beet chips, fresh beets are chopped and cooked directly into every chip to create an authentic, colorful snack that pairs perfectly with herbed goat cheese, hummus and Greek yogurt dip.

"At The Better Chip®, we wanted to create a great tasting tortilla chip in bold flavors that snackers can enjoy right out of the bag or with their favorite dips," said Andrea Brule, Vice President and General Manager of The Better Chip®. "Beet and Chipotle stuck out as really powerful flavors that are on trend with the current dining scene, and we couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our favorite holiday than by releasing our two new flavors on National Tortilla Chip Day."

The Better Chip® is a snack chip that puts the flavor inside with simple ingredients and whole vegetables people can actually see. Currently available in Jalapeno, Spinach & Kale and Corn, each is developed with smart snackers in mind using farm-fresh ingredients that taste delicious. The new Beet and Chipotle flavors will replace current flavors Sweet Onions with White Cheddar and Red Pepper with Salsa Fresca, which will be retired in 2014. The Better Chip® can be found in the deli section at grocery stores across the nation-rather than the chip aisle-right near the prepared dips and spreads. The Better Chip® is vegan friendly, gluten-free, Non-GMO verified or undergoing Non- GMO verification and now available in more than 10,000 grocery stores nationwide.

About The Better Chip®
