LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a Louisville woman stole close to $3,000 in cash while she was employed at a west end Kroger.
According to the arrest report, 42-year-old Barbara Sherman-Hernandez allegedly admitted to the store's security and LMPD officers that she had been stealing money from cash registers at the Kroger located in the 2700 block of W. Broadway from Oct. 2013 until Feb. 21, 2014. She told police she stole the cash to pay bills and prescription medications.
Store officials say Sherman-Hernandez stole a total of $2,892.00.
According to an arrest report, Sherman-Hernandez was recorded on store surveillance video stealing the money.
Police say she provided a written statement admitting guilt.
