LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say they have arrested a man after a woman's purse was snatched from the parking lot of a Kroger in Germantown.
According to an arrest report, it happened on Jan. 22, just before 3 p.m. at the Kroger located in the 1200 block of Goss Avenue. That's when police say the victim was loading groceries into her vehicle when 24-year-old Andrew J. Smith and an unknown accomplice grabbed her purse.
The victim refused to let go of it, but police say Smith forcefully pulled her to the truck and got in the passenger seat. That's when the unknown driver sped off, it causing the victim to fall to the ground. She sustained minor injuries and refused EMS.
Police say the value of the items in the victim's purse was approximately $760.
Smith was arrested on Feb. 21 and charged with first degree robbery.
