LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A convicted killer learned Monday morning an emergency protective order taken out against him by his girlfriend will be lifted.
Shane Ragland served time in prison after he admitted to killing a Kentucky football player 20 years ago.
Ragland's girlfriend claimed he tried to hit her in the head with a metal rod, tried to run her over with his wheelchair and repeatedly threatened to kill her.
Last month, a family court judge declined to drop an emergency protective order against Ragland, and said she'd conduct an investigation.
Ragland's girlfriend requested the judge drop the protective order, saying Ragland wouldn't fight with her in front of their children and that stress led to their fights.
