Problems rise over unpaid Camm trial bills

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - There's a dispute over unpaid bills in the David Camm murder trial.

Attorneys for Floyd County, Indiana and David Camm are set to appear Wednesday before the special judge who oversaw Camm's trial last fall.

Camm's attorneys say the county hasn't paid some bills they submitted, and has taken more than a year to pay others.

The county auditor says the unpaid bills total about $420,000. Officials say the county has faced more than $3 million in costs from Camm's three trials.

Camm was convicted twice for murdering his family members, but those verdicts were overturned.

Camm was acquitted in his third, and most recent, trial.
