LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - President Barack Obama is expected to announce a $320 million partnership that includes the University of Louisville.
A portion of the money will be used to build an advanced manufacturing and applied sciences park.
The park is expected to be built on 39 acres near the J. B. Speed School of Engineering.
The partnership is funded by private and federal dollars and is supported by the Defense Department.
The University of Illinois at Chicago will lead the initiative. The University of Kentucky will also receive money from a different consortium.
