LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- New numbers show that Alison Lundergan Grimes has raised $700,000 for her campaign with former president Bill Clinton's help.
Clinton visited Louisville on his first stop of the 2014 election cycle.
He's helping Grimes in her effort to unseat U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell.
More than 1,000 of Grimes' supporters paid $100 a seat to see Clinton speak at the Galt House. Clinton referred to McConnell as an "obstructionist" at the event, and praised Grimes for being a problem-solver.
The McConnell campaign immediately responded to Clinton's appearance, accusing Grimes of using old ideas from past administrations.
