LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An economic impact study shows Forecastle Festival pumped more than $14 million into Louisville's economy in 2013.

Forecastle Festival attendees spent more than $2.13 million on hotel rooms in the Louisville area and more than $1.46 million at area bars and restaurants.

The study tracked more than 9,500 visits to local tourist attractions, including the Belle of Louisville, Churchill Downs and the Louisville Slugger Field and Museum.

Almost 70 percent of Forecastle attendees were from outside of the Louisville area, and spent an average of $98 per day.

This year's Forecastle Festival takes place July 18-20 at Waterfront Park.
