LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Another "welcome home" for two groups of Fort Knox soldiers.

At right, you can see pictures the post shared with us from an early morning ceremony. Just over 100 soldiers were reunited with their families after spending nine months in Afghanistan.

Another ceremony welcomed about 270 soldiers home later Thursday morning. The soldiers have played a crucial role in helping Afghan security forces, government and police transition to independence.

Several groups have returned this week.

The unit will continue to come home in small groups through May.
