LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Keith Kaiser is preparing himself for spring and is checking out the Home, Garden and Remodeling Show at the Kentucky Expo Center.

The Home, Garden & Remodeling Show features hundreds of local and regional businesses February 28 - March 2nd, at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

Building Industry Association of Greater Louisville, formerly the Home Builders Association of Louisville, has been continuously producing this show in Louisville for 64 years.

According to the 2011 American Housing Survey showed that the average expected length of time a typical single-family buyer will remain in his or her home is 13 years.

General home maintenance and home improvement is typically conducted on homes, with some projects occurring annually and others in increments of every two or five years or more.

According to another study by the National Association of Home Builders HousingEconomics.com, a non-moving household spends approximately $4,000 annually on total alterations, repairs, appliances, and furnishings.

The annual Home, Garden & Remodeling Show connects people to more than 400 locally owned home product and services businesses.

This event is the largest exhibit of home products and services in the Louisville region annually.

Tickets are $10 adults; $9 Senior Citizens. Children 15 and under are free.

A buy one get one free ticket is available on our "Louisville Home Show" Facebook page.

The buy one get one free ticket will be based on adult ticket pricing.
