LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Oldham County's very own "dynasty" is back to show us how to use certain turkey calls.
The Hudnall brothers share their personal tips and tricks to calling turkeys and the proper way to cook your prized bird after a day's hunt.
Hudnall says the secret to a tasty turkey is to tenderize both sides of the meat, use a "dry, wet, dry" batter method, and to season your turkey after you fry the meat.
Field Hudnall is now a two-time World Goose Calling Champion! He won the coveted title at the Waterfowl Festival in Easton, Maryland in November 2013.
Hudnall and his brother Clay Hudnall own Field Proven Calls in Lagrange, which makes duck and goose calls. We found out about their accomplishments when their very proud mom called the newsroom.
So we invited them to WDRB in the Morning to teach Candyce Clifft and Sterling Riggs the goose calling basics. You can judge for yourself just how well they did!
Field Hudnall travels extensively on behalf of the company. He's also has some hosting duties for Ducks Unlimited on tv and does demos at Cabela's and other specialty businesses in the U. S. and Canada.
