LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man has been arrested after authorities say he set grocery carts on fire, causing the fire department to respond.

According to an arrest report, it happened Feb. 27, shortly after 1 p.m., at the Kroger on W. Broadway, near S. 27th St.

Authorities say 35-year-old Greg Stephens was in the rear of the store when he set fire to grocery carts. Louisville Fire & EMS responded, "on an emergency basis," "creating a risk of death or serious physical injury to the general public," the arrest report indicates.

Roughly $1,000 worth of damage was caused by the fire, authorities state.

Surveillance video allegedly captured Stephens starting the fire, according to the arrest report.

Stephens has been charged with first degree wanton endangerment.
