Ky. Houses passes bill allowing domestic violence victims to carry concealed weapons

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Domestic violence victims could soon be allowed to carry concealed weapons.

The Kentucky House passed a bill giving them a 45-day temporary permit.

Supporters say having the permits gives victims protection at a time when they feel most threatened -- but opponents argue guns would make those situations worse.

There's also concern people without proper training could be granted permits.

The proposal now goes to the Senate, which is considering a similar bill.
