LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The young New Albany girl who survived a house fire is expected to go home on Friday.

Family members hoped to take Taty'Ana Hughes home yesterday, but there was a small setback. Doctors say the 5-year-old's nutrition level wasn't where they wanted it to be.

Her family says the young girl has mentioned the fire and wants to go home.

"My daughter says she took her bag and started packing in her hospital room and said, 'my stuff is ready,'" said Marie Clark, Hughes' grandmother. "So, she's very emotional. She's ready to go home."

A parade will be held in New Albany Saturday morning; it starts at 10:00 at the library. It will end at the recreation center where Taty'Ana will present an award to the firefighter who rescued her.
