LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Louisville man after police say he left his 3-year-old son alone in a car.

It happened on Wednesday evening, sometime around 5 o'clock, according to an arrest report.

Authorities say 32-year-old Jason M. Campbell drove to the Pull-A-Part auto salvage yard on Recovery Lane, near Enterprise Drive and National Turnpike, and left his son alone in the vehicle in the parking lot.

It is not clear from the report how long the child was alone in the car.

Campbell was arrested and charged with first degree wanton endangerment and endangering the welfare of a minor, according to the arrest report.

The child was released to his mother.
