LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say a UPS employee was arrested after he admitted to stealing more than a dozen brand new iPhones, in some cases, hiding them in his shoes.

According to an arrest report, the employee -- 19-year-old Marcell Bell -- was arrested Thursday, March 6, just after 3:30 p.m. at the UPS facility on Grade Lane.

Police say UPS security spotted Bell with six brand new iPhones in his shoes, with three on each side.

Bell was stopped and questioned. Police say he then admitted to taking a rough total of 25 iPhones and selling at least some of them at the Go Green Gadget kiosk in Jefferson Mall. (According to Go Green Gadget's website, the company buys used cell phones, iPads, iPods, e-readers, laptops and desktops.)

Police estimate that the total value of the stolen iPhones is $6,000.

Bell was arrested and charged with theft.
