Jennings County, Ind. corrections officers plan to protest over pay

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Corrections officers in one Indiana county are upset that leaders are taking back a substantial pay raise.

Twenty-two people who work in the Jennings County Jail in North Vernon claim the county council approved $3,000-a-year raises for each effective Jan. 1. However, they say their last paychecks had the raise deducted.

They say they cannot get a clear answer from county leaders on why this happened.

They plan to protest in front of the council next week.
