LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A flammable chemical leaked from a tank at Zeon Chemicals on Bells Lane Friday, but no evacuations were necessary.

Hazmat crews responded to the facility on Bells Lane around noon Friday. Fire officials tell WDRB there was a leak of the highly flammable chemical butadiene in a tank farm outside the facility.

Crews quickly stopped the leak, and air monitors indicate no butadiene vapors were released.

Officials say there was never any need for employees or residents to evacuate.

No one was injured.
