LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Next Sunday night we'll be talking about the NCAA Tournament brackets. This Sunday night (and Monday morning) we can still fuss about the AP college basketball Top 25 poll.

What a mess.

I ran the numbers several times Sunday. They looked nastier every time I took another look – 17 teams ranked in last week's Top 25 lost at least once since the last poll. Get this: 11 of those losses came against unranked teams.

It was a great week to lose and remain in the poll and an even better week to win and climb a few spots.

Louisville was 11th last week, and the Cardinals should breeze into the Top 10 with Wisconsin, Kansas, Syracuse, Virginia, Duke and Arizona all losing.

I bumped the Cardinals from 10th to 6th on my ballot, a reward for being the first team to win at SMU and then overwhelming Connecticut Saturday.

Time for Kentucky to exit my Top 25. The Wildcats have lost three of their last four without scoring 70 points in any of those games. They looked underwhelming while beating Alabama at home.

Here goes. Take your shots. Plenty to fuss about.
