Probation revoked for former garbage truck driver involved in fatal crash

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The former garbage truck driver who avoided jail time in the crash and death of a Clark County teen will spend 10 months behind bars.

In 2010, Roger Crum was on painkillers and behind the wheel in a crash that killed 19-year-old Bethany Burrier.

He was put on probation.

But he violated those terms when he was arrested in November and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Crum claimed he had his medication in the wrong containers, but the judge has now revoked his probation and ordered Crum to serve 10 months in prison.

He will be back on probation once he gets out.
