Early Times Mint Julep unveils Ky. Derby bottle design
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- We're just about seven weeks away from the Run for the Roses -- and Early Times Mint Julep just released the design for this year's bottle commemorating the Kentucky Derby.
Artist and Louisville native Ashley Cecil designed it. Named "Time For the Roses," it celebrates the moment when the traditional garland of more than 400 red roses is presented to the Kentucky Derby winner.
During this year's Derby week, more than 120,000 Early Times Mint Juleps are expected to be served at Churchill Downs.
This year's Kentucky Derby is on Saturday, May 3.
