ANDRESS | 3-peat; a Louisville Conference Championship Video Trilogy

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- It's turned into a mini-tradition for me, having covered Louisville basketball at its conference tournaments for the past three seasons - put together a conference championship highlight videos for the Cardinals.

It started in March 2012. I went to Madison Square Garden to cover Louisville basketball by myself for WDRB. I had to do laundry and buy more ties, after the Cardinals won 4 games as the 7-seed in the conference. I hadn't packed enough clothes to make it to Saturday night.

After that improbable run, I wanted to make something to remember it.

Then the improbable happened again back at 'the world's most famous arena' in 2013. Louisville was expected to get to the final as the 2-seed in the Big East, but nobody expected the Boom of all Booms against Syracuse to come back and blow out the Orange.

Another championship video.

Fast forward to this past Saturday, and Louisville torched the American Athletic Conference competition, winning the tournament by an average of 33.3 points (the most since Arkansas in the 1991 Southwest Tournament).

Why not? Let's make it a trilogy of highlight videos.

So, here you go. Relive the last three conference championship runs by Rick Pitino and the Cards:
