Louisville fire crew fights flames at 41st and Market

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville firefighters responded to a fire that happened early Monday morning at the intersection of 41st and Market Streets, according to Louisville Fire Department Public Information Officer Captain Salvador Melendez.

Fire crews arrived to find a one-story candy store on fire. The fire was controlled shortly afterwards and did not spread to other structures. No injuries were reported.

The location had previously been a gas station.

Arson investigators determined that the fire was intentionally set. Investigators found a suspicious container inside the structure.

The investigation is in its early stages and ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Arson Bureau at 574-3721.
