LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The styles may have changed over the last century, but not the foundation for a Louisville business.

Rodes is celebrating its 100th anniversary. The family-owned business opened in 1914 as a men's store in the Starks Building in downtown Louisville.

Over the years, it's moved, opened new stores and added women's clothing. It credits one thing for its success.

"It's a family business," said Susan Vogt, a co-owner of the business. "We put family first. For our customers, they are part of our family."

As part of the celebration Monday, Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer presented the company with a proclamation for 100 years of style.
