LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The man deputies were trying to find before shooting and killing another man turned himself in to police.

Tuesday morning Christopher Smolik walked into the Trimble County sheriff's office with his lawyer.

Last week deputies were trying to serve a warrant to Smolik for failing to pay nearly $20,000 in back child support.

Another man answered the door and ran from police.

He eventually pulled a knife and was shot and killed by deputies.

53-year-old Albert William Keyes was wanted for two recent bank robberies in Ohio and Tennessee.

Smolik pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday and was released on bond.
