LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Richie Farmer gets to delay his prison sentence so he can watch his son play basketball tonight in the Boys' Sweet 16.Video shows his son Trey playing for Clay County High School. It's the same school Farmer led to a Sweet 16 State Championship 27 years ago.
Farmer was supposed to report to prison this week, but a judge has delayed that until Tuesday. He'll go to a federal prison in Hazelton, West Virginia, to serve his 27-month prison term.
Farmer pleaded guilty to corruption, admitting he put friends on the public payroll while serving as the Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner.
Tonight's game against Covington Catholic is at Rupp Arena at 8:00.
