LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky lawmakers are at odds over a bill to help schools that have been bombarded with snow days this winter.

The House refused to accept the Senate's version. Today, the issue heads to committee.

Under the Senate's plan, school boards could submit revised calendars to the state education commissioner to adjust for lost instructional time. Districts could also request a state waiver for additional time lost.

Under the House's version, districts could have up to 10 missed days waived.

Lawmakers are trying to get a bill to Gov. Steve Beshear as soon as possible.
