Lawsuit claims Metro Corrections officer sexually assaulted inmate
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Allegations have been made that a Louisville Metro Corrections officer sexually assaulted a female inmate.
A lawsuit was filed this week by a former female prisoner who says Corrections Officer Colby Noland sexually assaulted her in her cell in March 2013.
Corrections Director Mark Bolton says he terminated Noland on Feb. 19 for violating the staff code of conduct. He says Corrections has opened a professional standards investigation.
Bolton says his department has zero tolerance for staff/inmate sexual misconduct and will investigate the case fully and take appropriate action.
Noland could not be reached for comment.
