U of L Men's Soccer to Host Lynn Stadium Preview Prior to March 22 Charity Match

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Prior to the Louisville men's soccer team's benefit match against Indy Eleven on March 22, fans can enjoy an evening of tailgating while getting an update on the progress of Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium.

The pregame tailgate will be hosted in the Bronze G parking lot at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, located just south of Lynn Stadium along Floyd Street. The physical location of the tailgate will be at 2800 South Floyd Street, Louisville, KY 40209.

The progress update and preview of the future home of the Cardinals is scheduled for 6:15 p.m., ET across the street from the tailgate providing an exclusive view of Lynn Stadium. Louisville head coach Ken Lolla will address fans in attendance with a special message and a preview of the facility. Following the preview, fans are encouraged to march north on Floyd Street to Cardinal Park for Louisville's spring match against Indy Eleven, which is set to begin at 7:30 p.m., ET.

Ticket Info for the Charity Match with Indy Eleven

Admission to the Cardinals' match against Indy Eleven is free with a minimum $3 donation, while groups of 10 or more can enter with a minimum $2 donation per person. All group tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be available at Cardinal Park on game day. Fans attending the game are also encouraged to bring new or gently used children's books for donation with the proceeds benefiting Family Scholar House.

To purchase online, fans must enter their Cardinal Athletic Fund (CAF) information or, if they are a first-time buyer, they must create a new account. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Papa John's Cardinal Stadium ticket office or by phone at 502-852-0120.

About the Matchup Against Indy Eleven

The Louisville men's soccer team will kick off its spring exhibition schedule with the benefit match against Indy Eleven on Saturday, March 22 at Cardinal Park and the proceeds from the event will benefit Family Scholar House. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m., ET between the Cardinals and Indy Eleven, which is a newly formed professional soccer team based in Indianapolis that will debut later this year in the North American Soccer League.

Family Scholar House is a nonprofit organization based in Louisville and its mission is to end the cycle of poverty by giving single-parent students the support they need to earn a four-year college degree. By transitioning student parents from poverty to self-sufficiency, they are able to provide a better life for themselves and their children. Indy Eleven was launched on Jan. 16, 2013, to play in the North American Soccer League, beginning with the 2014 season. Originally born under the Indy Pro Soccer moniker, the club officially adopted its Indy Eleven identity in April 2013.

2014 Louisville Soccer Season Ticket Information

Season tickets for the University of Louisville's inaugural season at Lynn Stadium and in the Atlantic Coast Conference are currently available exclusively to 2013 Louisville soccer season ticket holders. Tickets will be available to the general public starting on Saturday, March 22 and will be sold inside Cardinal Park at the Cardinals' match against Indy Eleven. Representatives from the UofL Ticket Office will be at the match providing detailed information, answering questions, and assisting fans as they purchase tickets. The 2014 Louisville soccer season tickets will provide admission to both men's and women's regular season matches.
