LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested two drug dealers after a search of a local residence revealed a number of illegal drugs -- including some that were hidden in the fireplace.

According to arrest reports, officers executed a search warrant at the home of 40-year-old Todd A. Mellick and 26-year-old Shanna L. Stegner on Landrum Avenue, near Dixie Hwy. and Upper Hunters Trace, on Thursday, just before 7 p.m.

While there, police allegedly discovered cocaine, as well as numerous pills that were in bottles and in a baggie that was hidden in the fireplace.

Police say they also found a baggie of suspected heroin on Stegner's person.

Both Mellick and Stegner were arrested and charged with trafficking in controlled substances, possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to arrest reports.
