Fire crews respond to early morning fire in Jeffersontown

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Fire crews responded to an apartment fire Saturday morning in the 2900 block of Tree Lane in Jeffersontown.

MetroSafe officials say the call came in at 3:12 a.m. The fire was contained by 3:49 a.m.

Several units had to be evacuated while firefighters put out the blaze. 

MetroSafe says fire crews from Jeffersontown, McMahan, Middletown, and Harrod's Creek responded to the scene.

Officials told WDRB News that one firefighter had been taken to the hospital because of the fire, but has since been released.

No one else was injured in the blaze.

Some of the apartment's units received smoke and water damage resulting from the fire.

The cause of the fire is not known.
