PENDLETON, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police say a tractor-trailer at the Pilot Truck Stop in Pendleton is leaking a small amount of chemical.

KSP says the spill has triggered a small evacuation that does not include any homes. The radius is only 800 feet.

The truck is leaking ethylenediamine, an organic compound with an ammonia-like odor. The chemical is used in the production of various other industrials like cleaning agents.

Henry and Oldham County fire and HazMat teams are working to contain and clean the spill.

Kentucky State Police say the spill is small and should be contained, but it may take a few hours.
