LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Metro Police say officers arrested two teenagers who picked up a handgun out of a trash can at the Big Four Bridge on Saturday.

Police say a witness observed 18-year-old Je'rece Archie and a juvenile take the gun out of a trash can around 8 p.m. Saturday and pointed the suspects out to officers.

Officers followed the suspects and arrested them at Tumbleweed Restaurant on River Road, according to an arrest report.

Police say the juvenile suspect was found with a .32 revolver with no serial number.

A Metro Police spokesperson says the two suspects were part of this weekend's mob at the Big Four Bridge, but were not connected to any assaults.

Archie faces multiple charges including carrying a concealed deadly weapon and defacing a firearm.
