POLICE: no threat from suspicious package

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have issued an all-clear after a suspicious package was found in downtown Louisville early Monday.

Second Street between Market and Jefferson Streets was closed nearly three hours while police investigated.

According to LMPD spokeswoman Alicia Smiley, a worker walking into the MPI Printing Company at Second and Jefferson reported the package around 7 a.m.

Police evacuated the building and blocked Market and Jefferson Streets.

The LMPD Bomb Squad arrived at 8:45 a.m. to examine the package, and determined there was no danger.

The all-clear was issued just before 10 a.m.
