LOUISVILLE, Ky (WDRB) -- PACT In Action, a Louisville organization that normally focuses on teen dating violence, hosted a tweet chat Wednesday night to get the community to join in on the conversation about recent youth violence in the metro area.

@PactInAction used hashtag #PreventinIt to connect everyone's replies.

They asked followers to talk about violence in their neighborhoods and whether or not it's a reoccurring problem.

"This is important because this is the youth's way of responding to what's happened. We live in a society where violence is the norm and we see it manifest through our children," said Khalilah Collins, Project Manager for PACT In Action.

PACT stands for Parkhill, Algonquin & California Teens in Action.
