Employee at Louisville doctor's office accused of lying to get pain meds
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville woman was arrested Wednesday for allegedly using her position at a dermatologist's office to write herself a prescription for pain pills.
According to the arrest report, 34-year-old Erika Lynn Bradford called a pharmacy and identified herself as "Lynn" from Louisville Dermatology. She then used the office's DEA number to call in a prescription for herself for 30 Norco pills.
After Bradford's employer contacted detectives, police say she admitted to the crime. Police say Bradford still had the bottle, with 29 pills inside, in her purse when she was arrested.
Bradford is charged with unlawful procurement of a controlled substance.
