LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Temporary tanks could be handling the wastewater from a failed Bullitt County sewage plant as early as today.
The sanitation director says the plant in Hunters Hollow has spilled more than 1.5 million gallons of raw sewage since Saturday.
A Division of Water spokesman says the plant has received seven violations since Oct. 2009. He says operators at the plant failed to report overflows, and were cited for improper operations and maintenance.
It's not clear how soon the problem could be fixed permanently.
