Area students spending extended hours at school

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Students across the area are clocking longer days to make up for snow days.

Greater Clark County Schools began extending the school day by 45 minutes on Monday. The extended day schedules are expected to last for a month.

Bullitt County Public Schools began extending classes on Monday as well. Classes there are starting nine minutes earlier than usual, and ending five minutes later through the end of the year.

Barring any additional snow days, the last day of school for both districts is now Friday, June 6.
