LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Metro Police say a mother told officers she was high on narcotics while watching her child at Iroquois Park.

According to an arrest report, 24-year-old Jayme Dale was hunched over and drooling on her leg while sitting on a park bench.

Police say officers observed Dale's daughter, described as a small child, trying to talk to her when Dale allegedly looked up and hunched back over.

Dale allegedly told officers she took "three narcos" she bought off the street before going to the park.

Police say Dale was not in a state to be watching her daughter, whom Dale allegedly walked to Iroquois Park from her grandmother's house.

Dale is charged with public intoxication of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a minor.
