San Francisco police looking for "car tipping" suspects

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- You've heard of cow-tipping, but what about car tipping?

Police in San Francisco are looking for a group of people who knocked over at least three Smart Cars Tuesday morning.

Smart Cars only weigh about 1,600 pounds -- much lighter than a standard car -- and police say they're easy to tip over.

They're popular in cities like San Francisco, because they're easy to park in small spots.

Police say the suspects wore black-hooded sweatshirts, and the charges against them could be serious: car tipping is considered felony vandalism.
