Hodgenville superintendent pleads not guilty to DUI

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The LaRue County Superintendent has pleaded not guilty to a DUI charge.

Sam Sanders was pulled over in a car registered to the Board of Education on March 28.

Officers say dashcam video shows him failing a field sobriety test in Hodgenville, but Sanders told police he hadn't been drinking.

His driver's license is automatically suspended.

A special prosecutor will be assigned to the case because of a conflict of interest.

The LaRue County Board of Education is waiting for an outcome in court before making a decision on Sanders' job.
