LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A push in Kentuckiana is helping Girl Scouts be known for more than just their cookies.

A tech company is getting them involved in science, technology, engineering.

A new partnership with Neustar is teaching girls of all ages science so they can get jobs in male-dominated fields.

"We need to expose girls to the opportunities -- get them excited and motivated about what they can do in these technology areas," said Vivian Blade, the Girl Scouts board chair.

Neustar and other tech companies are using different technology to inspire young ladies. They plan to reach 4,000 Girl Scouts across Kentucky and Southern Indiana over the next year.
