LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Shock rang through the sports entertainment industry Wednesday after the passing of one of wrestling's biggest superstars.

World Wrestling Entertainment has confirmed the man behind the "Ultimate Warrior" has died. Jim Hellwig, who legally changed his name to "Warrior" collapsed last night at a hotel in Arizona.

Fans remember the painted face superstar selling out arenas through the 80's and 90's -- but many didn't know he grew up in Crawfordsville, Ind.

After a long absence from the industry, Warrior was just inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame last week.

No word yet on the cause of death. Warrior was 54 years old.
