LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested three people accused of kidnapping a woman and trying to extort $1,800 from her.

It happened around 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, April 9.

Police say they were contacted by a woman who said she had been kidnapped. Police met her at Hotel Louisville on W. Broadway, near S. 1st St.

When officers arrived, they found the woman in the parking lot, near a vehicle. Police immediately arrested three suspects who were nearby: 26-year-old Jarvis D. Barnes of Cincinnati, 29-year-old Deshonda T. Alford of Cincinnati and 25-year-old Simone R. Thomas of Cincinnati.

Police say the victim had a bruised eye, a "reddened" nose and several lumps on the back of her head.

She allegedly told police that the three suspects restrained her in the vehicle "with the intent to inflict physical harm on her and extort her for $1,800."

The woman was complaining of a headache and was taken to University Hospital for treatment, according to police.

All three suspects were charged with kidnapping.
