LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Stoneware is undergoing a makeover just ahead of its 200th anniversary.

The company has rearranged its space, building walkways, a new door and a new sales counter, among other things.

The company also debuted two new product lines of its home, kitchen and garden art. The Mercantile Collection is a lighter pottery, with new bolder colors.

Louisville Stoneware has also launched the 1815 Mercantile brand, featuring cocoa and soaps.

"After 199 years in business, it was time for a refresher," said Nancy Stephen, Louisville Stoneware's Director of Communications. "People have enjoyed Stoneware for generations. And we just wanted to show how much we appreciate our customers and the tourists who've been supporting us for all these years."

The pottery maker is one of the oldest stoneware manufacturers in the U.S. It has been located in Louisville since 1815.
