Man killed after moped collides with Jeep

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A man was killed Friday evening after a moped he was riding on collided with a vehicle, according to LMPD Public Information Officer Dwight Mitchell.

The man has been identified as 24-year-old Joshua Paul Jones, who was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple injuries. 

The collision occurred at Bradford and Glen Oak Dr. Louisville Police say the type of vehicle involved in the incident was a Jeep Cherokee.

The driver of the Jeep was traveling west on Bradford Dr. and was trying to turn left onto Glen Oak. As the Jeep's driver was turning left, the vehicle collided with the moped's driver, who was going south on Glen Oak.

Police say Jones was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

LMPD's Traffic Unit is currently investigating and there are no charges at this time.
