Lincoln, Neb. toddler gets trapped in vending machine

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A stuffed Curious George wasn't the only curiosity in one Lincoln, Neb. bowling alley vending machine.

A toddler decided to climb in and join him.

"There must have be 25 people surrounding him but he didn't notice anybody he was just inside playing with the stuffed animals," said Rachel Hildreth of Madsen's Bowling & Billiards.

Hildreth thinks the only way the boy could have gotten inside was by climbing in through the prize door. The next trick was getting him out.

The vendor was called to get a key, but police had to be called when employees couldn't find the boy's parents. As it turned out, the child had slipped out of an apartment across the street while his mother was using the restroom.

Police say the mother will not be charged since she called them as soon as she realized her son was missing.
