LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The private aerospace firm SpaceX and NASA plan to launch an unmanned cargo ship to the International Space Station Friday, April 18, at 3:25 p.m., according to a news release distributed by NASA.

It will be the private firm's third cargo resupply mission to the space station from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.

WDRB News plans to stream the launch live. Coverage will begin at 2:15 p.m. EST.

The company's April 14 launch was scrubbed due to a helium leak in the Falcon 9 rocket that will launch the Dragon spacecraft to the space station.

The craft will carry roughly 5,000 pounds of science supplies, crew supplies, vehicle hardware and spacewalk tools.

If the Friday launch is scrubbed, there will be another launch opportunity on Saturday, April 19, at 3:02 p.m.
