Gibson sentenced to 65 years for Hodella murder

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- William Clyde Gibson has been sentenced to 65 years with no chance of parole for the death of Karen Hodella.

Gibson pleaded guilty in March to killing Hodella, 45, in 2002. Under the terms of the plea agreement, the maximum sentence Gibson could receive was 65 years.

In 2013, Gibson was convicted and sentenced to death for murdering and dismembering Christine Whitis.

Gibson still faces a third trial for the murder of Stephanie Kirk.
